on the one hand this is a joke post because lol i have never made a good post in my life, but also, if i hadn’t made the connection
between this update and my sudden nosedive in activity, i would have been really fucking discouraged about all the shit i’ve been working on lately. i guarantee there are people on tumblr right now who haven’t made that connection, and who are trying to figure out why suddenly no one likes anything they’ve made. and that fucking sucks.
Reminder to go into your settings and turn off ‘Best Stuff First’ because my activity’s tanked a couple days ago for no reason so this stuff IS happening.
You WILL miss content with that setting on.
i ain’t joking when i say that my activity looks JUST like this too and i wasn’t sure why
I’m sure you all have seen posts like this before, but you will be missing out on a lot of content if you have this feature activated.
Fyi, folks, this account has been hit pretty hard by this change. Engagement is currently at about 30% of normal, which means that there are a lot of people missing out on informative posts like this one about original works on AO3.
In order to change this setting on mobile (it’s unclear if it’s available on desktop at the moment), view your blog by tapping the little silhouette in the bottom right of your screen, then tap the settings gear in the top right of your screen. From there, select Global Settings (iOS) or General Settings (Android), then Dashboard Preferences, and toggle the switch for “Best Stuff First.”
Thanks to everybody who follows this account, everybody who reblogs and/or likes the posts here, and everybody who joins in with events like Fandom First Friday! You’re all awesome!
Hey guys, normally I don’t reblog on this account, but I wanted to help make more people aware of this. It’s probably going to harm every single person you follow, so please consider turning it off. I’ve noticed a drop from normal as well and although I try to not let note counts bother me, I have to admit it’s pretty discouraging.
Imagine going to the Oscars with Chris. It’s your first red carpet event as a couple, and you couldn’t be more excited. As soon as you step out of the car, Chris is by your side, his hand on the small of your back. When the cameras start flashing, his protective instincts kick in; his hand never leaves your body as you walk down the row of journalists, evading any questions he knows you don’t want to answer. His number one priority is making sure you feel safe.

Imagine going with Henry to a photo shoot. You had brought a magazine to keep you occupied, but once the camera starts flashing, you can’t keep your eyes off of him. You don’t even realize you’re licking your lips as you look up and down his rippling body, blushing and giggling when you realize he’s caught you. With that devilish smirk of his, he starts flexing in his poses, intentionally trying to drive you wild. He loves having you around, so he wants to make sure you have a good time – and that you’ll come with him again.
As I’ve mentioned a time or two in the past, I am working on a story that I’m hoping to get published. Part of the submission process is writing letters to publishers, getting yourself noticed, and kind of showing off that people actually like to read what I write 😂 so I started a Twitter account using my pen name.
This is where the favor comes in! If you use Twitter, it would mean the world to me if you could follow me. I’d love to be able to show potential publishers that people enjoy what I have to offer {and I’m not quite ready to share my Painfully Thick™ blog! lol!}. I’ll mostly be tweeting writing updates and some behind-the-scenes info about running this blog – like perhaps when a new chapter of Blind Side is coming?! 🙂
Imagine telling Loki you want to go home to Earth. As much as you love him, Asgard will never be home. As you walk into his room, you get the sense he knows what’s coming. He kisses you gently on the forehead, mumbling something about saying goodbye as he walks to the corner of the room, unable to face you. When you ask how he knew, all he can say is, “When it happens to you enough, you just learn to pick up on it.”
